The last of source of these rare, highly desirable bloodlines (AKC/American Akitas) at the most competitive time in AKC history.
Buckshot was a stunning red brindle pinto, with correct type (AKC/American Akita). He was noted for his stable, tolerant disposition, athletic ability, soundness, fluid movement and length of stride. He loved to show, was highly tolerant of other animals including dogs, was easy to train and have in public. Exclusively breeder owner handled by Kelle Clinton.
Buckshot, his litter mates, and ancestors through AKC registration history of the breed, passed genetic health/soundness screenings, then when certifications for known inherited issues came into existence, were OFA good to excellent, OFA elbows and CERF certified. Those were the days when genetic screening results and additional testing were not necessarily recorded with a registering organization nor were they included on certified pedigrees.
